Bea Stottlemyer Passes

BEATRICE FIROR STOTTLEMYER  
(Age 98)  

Of Thurmont, Maryland and formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of the late Paul Roy Stottlemyer.
Born November 29, 1916 in Graceham, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ross C. and Nana Main Firor.
 
Prior to her marriage in 1940, Mrs. Stottlemyer worked for the WPA (Works Projects Administration) in the area that was later converted to the presidential retreat now known as Camp David.
Starting in the late 1950's, she worked for WTOP TV in Washington, D.C. for 27 years.
She is survived by her children Paul F. Stottlemyer of Thurmont, J. Neil Stottlemyer and wife Vicki of Arlington, and Susan Stottlemyer Milloy and husband Bob of Olney; grandchildren Allen Stottlemyer, Jeff Stottlemyer, Brendan Milloy, Robbie Milloy and wife Sarah, and Kelley Milloy. She was preceded in death by her brother Ross Firor and sister Jane Ferrer.
Friends may visit with the family at 11 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12 Noon on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD.
Interment at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
